Hotel Features
The
16-story, 336-room hotel is one of Priceline guests' favorites in all
of Denver. Each uniquely named floor has a different retro-pop theme
(Floor 13 is called "dun, dun, dunnnn!"). Rooms are decidedly
up-to-date, with flat-panel TVs, iPod speaker systems and free Wi-Fi. If
you can tear yourself away from the retro gift and candy shop, you can
work out in the fitness room or catch up in the 24-hour business center.
The Curtis is about fun and whimsy, though, so take in the inspired
decor, and perhaps try a meal at the on-site restaurant. It's
100-percent non-smoking here, but feel free to bring Fido along. Valet
parking is available.
Hotel Location
The
Curtis, a DoubleTree Hotel, is located just steps from the action of
LoDo (Lower Downtown), Denver's popular entertainment district. Denver
Center for the Performing Arts, the largest theater complex west of the
Mississippi, is just a block away. The Sixteenth Street Mall's open-air
shopping will satisfy your urge to spend. The City Park is a 10-minute
drive east, where you'll find the Denver Zoo and the renowned Denver
Museum of Nature and Science. It's an easy five-minute walk to the
Colorado Convention Center, and Denver International Airport is 25 miles
away. Note that parking downtown is tough, but available for a fee at
the hotel.
